One year of Nova Conveyancing
13 October 2026 • 6 min read
Thank you to the partners and people who made it possible.
A year ago, Nova Conveyancing launched to give estate agents, mortgage brokers and their clients a conveyancing partner that delivered faster completions, quicker commissions and full transparency across the legal process of buying and selling properties.
Since then, we have completed over 2,500 transactions. Behind each one is a buyer, a seller, or a homeowner remortgaging, and a partner who trusted us with their client. We’re proud to work with estate agent firms and mortgage broker partners across England & Wales, and are grateful to every one of them.
A year that tested everyone
It was not an easy year to be moving home. Lenders repriced through the spring, mortgage rates climbed, and by August the number of mortgages approved for house purchase was 16% lower than a year earlier. Rightmove’s July analysis found that the average sale in Great Britain now takes 154 days to get from agreed to completed, the longest summer wait on record. Rightmove’s research also suggests that almost a quarter of agreed sales initially fall through.
Against that backdrop, we completed an average of almost seven transactions every day across the year. Each one was a buyer who got their keys, a seller who moved on, or a homeowner who secured a new deal, and a partner whose client made it over the line.
David Jabbari, CEO at Nova, says:
“Wow, one year of Nova. We launched this brand to bring a different and more considered option to estate agents and mortgage brokers. Over 2,500 completions means over 2,500 times that a partner trusted us with a client, and we do not take that lightly. Our job is to give partners clear visibility and a team they can reach, and that is what we will keep working on in year two.
To every estate agent and broker who has worked with us this year, thank you. You have been generous with your trust, honest with your feedback and patient when cases got complicated, and all of it has made us better. To the Nova team, thank you for the effort and care you bring to the job every single day. You are the reason partners come back to us, and I could not be prouder of our team. Here’s to year two and beyond.”

Aaron Jooste, Sales Manager at Churchill Mathesons, says:
The service has been great, and I’ve really appreciated how regularly you keep me updated. It’s very refreshing to receive such frequent updates from conveyancers, especially without me having to call and ask for them. It has helped me stay informed and feel involved and kept in the loop throughout the process.”
The cases we will remember
Some cases came together brilliantly. Our shortest exchanges to date were just 15 days on a remortgage, 22 days on a purchase and 28 days on a sale.
Every case moves at its own pace, but when partners, clients and our team all pull in the same direction, it is a joy to see what can happen.
The people behind the numbers
Rachel Bayford, Account Manager, says
“Nova’s first year has been exciting and fast-paced. I’ve loved working alongside our partners, and the collaborative approach has strengthened the relationships we’ve built.
“One of my proudest moments was seeing a complex chain through to completion: two sales and the purchase of a home our client had waited her whole life for. A lease issue came up late on, and she was anxious, so I kept the agent updated at every stage and agreed next steps each time things changed. The agent never had to chase. The buyer completed with confidence, then sent me a video of herself walking through the door for the first time. Skipping, I should say!”

Cara Stanbridge, Head of Relationship Management, says:
“Looking back over Nova’s first year, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved. We’ve made huge progress across the business, strengthened our relationships with existing partners and welcomed new partners who share our vision and values. One of the biggest successes for me has been the work that’s gone into developing our team.
“We’ve focused on building the right relationships, selecting the best conveyancers and making sure we have the right account management support in place to deliver the service our partners and customers deserve. While we’re proud of how far we’ve come in 12 months, I’m even more excited about what’s ahead as we continue to grow, bring on new partners and keep raising the bar.”
Sajjaad Mutaliph, Senior Analyst, AML and Fraud Detection, says:
“I was honoured to join Nova in its early stages and to watch the brand grow and improve. Beyond protecting our clients’ best interests and helping turn their property dreams into reality, we have upheld the highest regulatory protocols and ensured quality due diligence.
“Our Partners have been an immense pillar of support, stepping in to help us clear complex due diligence blocks and keep cases moving forward. One of our most impactful initiatives this year was the creation of a Partner Task Force. Bringing all relevant case handlers and departments together in one real-time channel helped us resolve roadblocks and keep cases progressing, while significantly improving partner satisfaction.
“Thank you to the entire team and everyone who has been part of this milestone year. I’m incredibly excited for what the future holds!”

Looking ahead
The market has not made it easy. Mortgage rates remain volatile, and buyers remain cautious. Even so, activity has held up better than the headlines suggest. Transactions in August were only 2% below the same month last year, and Savills expects house prices to return to growth in 2027 after a softer 2026.
How homes are bought and sold is changing too. In June, the government published its home buying and selling reform roadmap, setting out plans for upfront sales packs, digital property logbooks, earlier commitment between buyers and sellers, and greater use of technology and AI in conveyancing. Nothing is mandatory yet, but the direction is clear: more information earlier, more clarity for everyone involved and a more digital process from start to finish.
That is the kind of transaction Nova was built around. Our partners and their clients can follow every case in real time through our 24/7 portal, with a dedicated account manager and conveyancing team behind each one. Digital tools such as AI-powered title checks and e-signatures are part of the everyday process, and they sit alongside people who pick up the phone. As the industry moves towards more digital, more transparent transactions, we are already working that way, and we plan to keep building on it.
In a tougher market, partners need a conveyancer that communicates, and that is where we want to keep earning our place. Our focus for year two stays the same: clear updates, visible progress, and a team you can rely on.
Thank you for a brilliant first year.
